In addition to a strong team of information technology specialists, seasoned programmers, and analysts who have expertise in data management and analysis, PRC leverages the knowledge of pharmacists, epidemiologists, and individuals with master's of public health degrees from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy.

Christine earned her BS in mathematics and chemistry from Simmons College in 2006, followed by her MPH in epidemiology with a concentration in reproductive and women's health from the University of Michigan in 2008. Since joining PRC in June 2008 as a project coordinator, Christine has worked with investigators to construct variables from secondary data sources, including electronic medical records and administrative claims. She has also engaged in primary data collection, worked with SAS programmers to create analytic files, and performed administrative tasks, including completing institutional review board applications.

Jim received his BS in mathematics in 1974 from Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland, and his ScM degree in biostatistics with a concentration in epidemiology in 1978 from the Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health. Jim has been with the University of Maryland since 1980, first at the School of Medicine for 18 years, and now with PRC where his experience has been primarily working with Maryland Medicaid and SEER data. He is a senior SAS programmer, focusing on the building of large data sets to be used in complex statistical models. With his knowledge of Excel, Access and VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), he has built data entry and management systems to facilitate primary data collection and to integrate the databases into SAS for statistical analyses across computer platforms. He has given numerous SAS seminars and conducted SAS users groups for the department. Jim also appears as a co-author in numerous peer-reviewed publications, including JAMA, Pediatrics, and the Journal of Clinical Epidemiology.

Pat has a BS in mathematics education with a minor in health from the University of Maryland, College Park. She has more than 30 master's credits in the area of math education and computer science from the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins University. Pat has been a SAS programmer for more than 30 years, and is experienced in data manipulation using SAS DATA steps and Macros. In addition to working with large health care databases, Pat has managed large residential and commercial phone files for AT&T and MCI. Currently, Pat teaches and lectures PHSR graduate students enrolled in the School of Pharmacy's research methods classes. She also provides individual tutoring on SAS programming to graduate students.

Lori Walker graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) with a BS in computer science and minor in mathematics in June 1990. After graduation, she worked for the Atlantic Research Corporation and Research Triangle Institute as part of a contracting team to the National Institutes of Health. In 1995, Lori was hired by the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy's Center on Drugs and Public Policy (CDPP) to provide programming support for on-site research staff. She became a founding member of PRC in 1998. Lori has data management and support programming experience working with multiple sources of administrative claims. In addition, she has been instrumental in developing online query systems for comprehensive code dictionaries, contracted data, and an internal project/data management tracking system. She is currently working as a senior level programmer, database manager, web page developer, and assistant system administrator.

Before joining PRC in August 2011 as a research pharmacist, Corinne Woods completed her MPH in epidemiology at San Diego State University in 2011. She has worked on an epidemiological study of obesity measures, as well as a systematic review for obesity interventions in Latin American populations with Project GOL at the San Diego State University Research Foundation. Corinne has experience working with ICD-9 codes as well as SAS and PASW. Additionally, she is a licensed pharmacist from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and brings extensive prior experience as a pharmacy practitioner, across inpatient, outpatient, retail, and long-term care pharmacy practice settings to PRC.

Jeanne earned her BA in mathematics and design of environment from the University of Pennsylvania in 1983, and her Master's of City Planning (MCP) from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1986. Jeanne previously worked as a SAS programmer at the University of North Carolina Population Center on the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health (Add Health) and at the Urban Institution on the National Survey of American Families (NSFAF) research project. Jeanne has also worked as a SAS programmer at Census on the 2000 Journey-to-Work project. She has experience working with Census, Medicare Current Beneficiary Survey (MCBS), and Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS) data.

Ilene serves as professor and chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Health Services Research (PHSR) at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, and as a professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She is the founder and executive director of Pharmaceutical Research Computing (PRC). Ilene has served on the faculty of the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy since 1983. She earned her BSP, PharmD, and PhD from the University of Maryland. Her research focuses on improving drug therapy in vulnerable populations, particularly older adults. Her personal goal is to prevent adverse health outcomes in older adults by optimizing medication use and adherence. She has more than 25 years of epidemiological research experience, with more than 100 publications and a demonstrated track record of analysis of large databases for comparative effectiveness, epidemiological, and adherence studies.
