Mass Spectrometry Facility

The mission of the Mass Spectrometry Facility at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy is to accelerate discovery by providing investigators on campus access to cutting edge technologies in mass spectrometry.

The Mass Spectrometry facility, located in Pharmacy Hall North (PHN), provides state-of-the-art expertise, methodology, and instrumentation to the School of Pharmacy and the surrounding research community. The Facility also provides researchers the opportunity to perform and access very sophisticated experiments by working closely in a true collaborative effort between faculty, students, and staff.

The Facility is an interdisciplinary unit aimed at serving faculty from the schools of Dentistry, Medicine and Pharmacy. It also serves researchers from other universities and industries within and outside of Maryland.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Chemical Biology
  • Quantitative Biosciences
  • Translational and Regulatory Sciences

The laboratory is equipped to offer a broad range of support services with eleven state-of-the-art mass spectrometers. All inquiries should be directed to Dr. Maureen Kane (Director) or Dr. Jace Jones (Manager).
