Bioanalytical Separations (PHAR 628)    3 Credit Course    2001

1. Course Description: This interdisciplinary course describes the various methods used in the pharmaceutical sciences for the separation of materials. The basic science behind each method will be described, with emphasis on the scope and limitations of each method.

2. Course Objectives: To provide a foundation in the pharmaceutical sciences that will allow students to critically analyze separation problems and decide upon the best approach to isolate the desired material.
