We competed in a door decorating contest in December 2006. We had so many great ideas that we had to include them all. Our tree was decorated with petri dishes, pipettes, and test tubes and santa took the form of a well known physicist. We ended up winning 1st place in the competition and won a catered lunch which you can see us enjoying below!

Over the summer of 2006 we had the pleasure of collaborating with a visiting professor from Greece, Dr. Christos Kontogiorgis. Christos spent the summer in Baltimore working in our lab and seeing the sights. He tried to teach us a little about Greek desserts during his stay- an endeavor we all enjoyed immensely! .In November 2006, Laura and Marishka participated in a PGSA- sponsored service project. Several members of the university community cooked dinner for residents of the Ronald McDonald House (and had a really good time doing it!).
