W. Gary Erwin, PharmD

W. Gary Erwin, PharmD, is President, Omnicare Senior Health Outcomes LLC, and Vice President, Health Systems Programs, Omnicare, Inc.  Dr. Erwin’s responsibilities are to develop and implement new business initiatives for Omnicare with public and private payers, employers, and provider groups which provide health care services to seniors.  Dr. Erwin currently serves as a member of Omnicare’s Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee. 

Dr. Erwin received his B.S. Pharmacy degree from Auburn University in 1976 and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Kentucky in 1981.  He also completed a hospital pharmacy residency at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in 1981.  Prior to joining Omnicare, Dr. Erwin served as Vice President for Professional Programs, and Professor of Clinical Pharmacy, Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science.  In addition, he was on the faculty at the University of Georgia, where he specialized in geriatric pharmacotherapy and long-term care.
