J, Michocki, PharmD, BCPS, earned both his Bachelor of
Science in Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy at the University
of Maryland where he now is Pharmacy School Professor in the
Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science. While at the
University of Maryland, he has won Teacher of the Year Awards
in 1991, 1992, 1994, 1996, 2000 and 2001. He also holds a
position as a Senior Policy Fellow at the Center on Drugs
and Public Policy at the University of Maryland and as a Consultant
to the Veterans Administration Hospital Geriatric Primary
Care Clinic. He is a Board Certified as a Pharmacotherapy
Specialist.
Dr.
Michocki has written and lectured extensively in the areas
of geriatric pharmaceutical practice and preventive care for
patients, and is a member of several professional associations
for pharmacists. His more recent publications include those
in the areas of pharmaceutical care for the elderly, adverse
drug reactions, medication management, patient education,
and the promotion of pharmaceutical care.
