Ilene Zuckerman, PharmD is an Associate Professor at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science, and Senior Policy Fellow in the School's Center on Drugs and Public Policy.

Dr. Zuckerman has been involved in drug use review for over ten years. She has received grants and contracts from the Health Care Financing Administration, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (formerly the Agency for Health Care Policy and Research), the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, pharmaceutical companies and foundations. Dr. Zuckerman has been invited to present her work and has published over 40 articles. As part of her faculty responsibilities at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, she is director of research for the ambulatory care/managed care residency training program. She serves on the United States Pharmacopoeia Drug Utilization Review Panel. Dr. Zuckerman is currently Program Chairperson for the Medical Care Section, American Public Health Association.

Dr. Zuckerman received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Maryland in 1983. She is Board Certified as a Pharmacotherapy Specialist.
