Call for Papers
Abstracts are now being accepted for the Third International
Nanomedicine and Drug Delivery Symposium. The deadline for submission
of abstracts is extended to FRIDAY, AUGUST 5, 2005. Abstracts should be submitted electronically.
Set-up for the Poster Session will be announced.
Abstract format
1. Each abstract should be 1 (one) page in length.
2. Paper size must be 8-1/2" x 11" (US Letter).
3. Abstract text should be at least 10 pitch and either Times, Arial or
a similar font.
5. Margin settings: Top =1"; Bottom = 1; Left
= 1.25"; Right = .75"
6. Figures or illustrations should be incorporated in jpeg, tiff or gif
file.
7. Do not number the pages.
**If margins are not followed correctly, abstract will be returned for
correction, if time allows**
Abstract content
1. Title should be typed in BOLD, ALL CAPITAL LETTERS on the first line.
The title should be centered. If the title is too long, then it may be
extended to the next line.
2. Authors' names should be double space after the title. The presenting
author should be underlined. Use initials only for the first names.
3. All authors' affiliations should be single space after authors'
names.
4. Text should include an introduction briefly stating the hypothesis
for the investigation, experimental methods, results and discussion,
conclusion and references.
5. Section headings (Introduction, Experimental Methods, Results and
Discussion, Conclusions, and, References) should be on separate lines
and typed in BOLD, CAPITAL LETTERS.
6. Do not indent paragraphs.
7. Figures and illustrations should be drawn in dark, black lines.
Figures and/or Tables should be numbered. A simple descriptive title may
be included below the figure/illustration/table.
8. Equations should be typed on a separate line and centered. If they
are referred to later in the text, then include appropriate equation
numbers.
9. Acknowledgements may be included as a separate line after the
reference section.
10. Abstracts must be submitted electronically in MS Word or PDF format
to this address: nanomedicine@rx.umaryland.edu.
