Mark your calendars for the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy's Annual Academy of Preceptors Dinner and Continuing Education (CE) Program.

About the Event:

The Academy of Preceptors Dinner and Continuing Education (CE) Program is an annual live seminar and dinner for all preceptors at the School of Pharmacy. The program will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 5:30 to 7:45 p.m. There is no cost to attend this activity for preceptors from the School of Pharmacy.

This year's program is entitled "Framing the Experience: Setting Rotation Expectations" (UAN #: 0025-0000-18-065-L04-P; Contact Hours: 1.5). At the conclusion of this activity, preceptors should be able to:

  • Identify the importance of orienting the student to the rotation and setting expectations.
  • Describe the process of setting expectations with the learner.
  • Discuss how to incorporate both the student’s and your expectations into the rotation.

Online registration will close Thursday, April 12, 2018. On-site registration will be available for those individuals who were unable to meet the online registration deadline.

This event will be offered at two locations for the convenience of our preceptors. Preceptors may choose to attend this event at:

  • Pharmacy Hall

  • Universities at Shady Grove
    9636 Gudelsky Drive
    Building III, Room 2202
    Rockville, MD

Activities will take place in Rooms N103 and N111 in Pharmacy Hall. At Shady Grove, activities will be presented via live videoconference in Building III, Room 2202.

Successful completion of this activity requires participants' signature on a signature sheet, participation in the entire activity, and completion of an online activity evaluation survey. Statements of credit will be posted to participants' CPE Monitor profile within three weeks of successful completion of this activity.
