The mission of the Office of Substance Abuse Studies (OSAS) is to improve the state of programs of substance abuse treatment and prevention, and to explore the intersection of substance abuse and pharmacy practice in our society.  OSAS has a twenty-year history of providing a range of services that include education, program evaluation, and substance abuse prevention.

OSAS Goals and Activities

  • Provide information and education on substance abuse and its treatment.

  • Contribute to the prevention of substance abuse through community service programs.

  • Design and conduct research on substance abuse and chemical dependence.

  • Provide design and evaluation of programs related to substance abuse prevention and treatment.
