- Identify, cultivate, solicit, steward, and maintain a pipeline of current and prospective donors to solicit gifts in support of the School’s priorities, mission, and vision.
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies such as annual giving campaigns, capital campaigns, major gifts, and planned and deferred gifts.
- Cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors such as alumni, friends, corporations, foundations, and government entities.
- Work with donors to establish legacy gifts such as bequests, annuities, trusts, etc.
- Assist in the execution of agreements and memorandums of understanding with the University of Maryland Baltimore Foundation, Inc. and University of Maryland, Baltimore.
- Organize strategic events and initiatives that engage current and prospective donors.
- Maintain records of donations and gift restrictions and manage donor stewardship programs to ensure appreciation and recognition of donations.
- Work with the UMB Office of Foundation and Corporate Relations to help faculty and staff members identify and pursue opportunities for institutional grants from government entities, corporations, and private foundations.
- Maintain professional relationships with alumni, including organizing alumni reunions, networking events, career development activities, and regional gatherings.
- Maintain the School of Pharmacy’s online networking website RxIntersect.
- Foster connections between alumni and current students, creating opportunities for internships, job placements, and mentoring.
- Partner with the Office of Communications and Marketing on initiatives such as Capsule magazine, newsletters, social media, and the alumni website.
- Maintain an alumni database to track contact information, career progression, and engagement activities.

- Oversees PharmD curriculum with a focus on continued improvement and updates to meet the needs of today’s student and today’s profession.
- Oversees continuous assessment of the PharmD curriculum to ensure the PharmD program is compliant with all federal, state, and University regulations and standards as well as those of accrediting bodies (e.g. ACPE).
- Supports current dual degrees and develops new dual degrees, micro-credentials, and other training opportunities, with input from the associate dean for students.
- Collaborates with the associate dean for admissions, recruitment, and integration to implement new 3+4, 0-6, and community college/PharmD programs.
- Develops and oversees policies for student success, grievances, and all other aspects of student life as it pertains to the curriculum.
- Collaborates with the senior associate dean for administration and finance to coordinate joint workloads and issues for educational technology, AV, and IT.
- Assesses and measures the overall faculty workload, in conjunction with the department chairs.
- Oversees efforts to ensure all policies and procedures related to faculty matters align with those of the University and the University System of Maryland and works with departments to update policies and procedures when needed.
- Oversees the faculty promotion and tenure process and post tenure process in collaboration with the School’s Faculty Affairs Committee to ensure compliance with University and School procedures and ensures appropriate materials are submitted to the Office of the Provost in a timely manner.
- Identifies and implements programs that support faculty development in training in curricula, pedagogy, and student learning, with input from the associate dean for students.
- Supports new faculty orientation and on-boarding.
- Supports faculty recognition activities, working with department chairs to promote faculty candidacy for campus, regional, and national awards.

- Assures compliance of the School’s experiential curriculum with all federal, state, and University regulations and standards, as well as those of accrediting bodies, such as the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education.
- Develops, implements, and routinely evaluates the School’s ELP policies for relevance and rigor.
- Recruits, develops, and maintains a full complement of experiential sites and preceptors to support the needs of the educational program.
- Ensures that ELP staff site visits meet accreditation requirements and serve as a mechanism to cultivate and maintain educational collaborations.

- Educational Technology
