Extending the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy's mission to lead pharmacy education, scientific discovery, patient care, and community engagement across the state of Maryland and beyond, the Applied Pharmaceutics Lab (APhL) provides accessible and affordable services to researchers at all levels of product development.

Under the direction of Stephen W. Hoag, PhD, the Applied Pharmaceutics Lab (APhL) assists researchers at universities, government agencies, companies and suppliers at all levels of research and development.

APhL features top-notch expertise and resources for pharmaceutical pre-formulation, formulation development, analytical methods development, and testing. There are also suites for non-clinical manufacturing research and development, and early stage GMP manufacturing.
