Paavani Jain, MD, MPH is a Postdoctoral Fellow affiliated with the Peter Lamy Center on Drug Therapy and Aging in the Department of Pharmaceutical Health Services Research.

About Dr. Jain:

Paavani Jain is a recent graduate of the Johns Hopkins University where she received her Master’s in Public Health along with her research and interprofessional complex care training. She has a prior medical degree from India along with clerkships at Harvard Medical School, Weill Cornell Medical College, and the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is currently the Lamy Postdoctoral Fellow with the University of Maryland. Dr. Jain is working on projects including antipsychotic reduction in nursing home residents funded by the National Institute on Aging at the School of Pharmacy; a pilot study on testing meaningful activities for behavioral symptoms reduction in assisted living residents with faculty at the School of Nursing; and the Age-Friendly Medication Optimization Network funded by the PCORI with the Lamy Center. She is also a first-generation student, a fervent advocate for patient populations with complex medical and social needs, and she continues her Music School pursuits along with her postdoctoral work.
