There are multiple education programs available to PharmD students interested in global health at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy.

Pharmacy Global Ambassadors Program

The Pharmacy Global Ambassadors Program (PGAP) is designed for students with an interest in exploring global health during their PharmD curriculum. The goal of the program is to expose students to different cultures and healthcare systems in the classroom and through experiential education. Students in the program will complete a global health focused elective during their P3 year and an international advanced pharmacy practice experiences (APPE) during their P4 year. Students interested in the program will apply in their P2 year.

Degree and Certificate Programs

PharmD/MPH Program

Students interested in participating in the PharmD/MPH dual degree program may apply for entrance to the program during any one of the four professional years of their Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program.
