Thrive at Work Professional Development Series for Faculty and Staff
Join us for two dynamic sessions that are designed with your team in mind! The Thrive @ Work workshops will equip faculty and staff with essential skills for navigating multiple demands, building team resilience, and mastering the art of doing more with less.
Each workshop will offer practical strategies to improve the quality of your team's ability to collaborate and contribute to a thriving and high-performing culture across UMSOP. The series will be led by Domonic Rollins, PhD, founder of Rollins Consulting Group, specializing in organizational change, leadership, and equity in higher education. Participants can register on UMB’s Percipio platform to attend the workshop virtually or live in the 4MLK Building across from Pharmacy Hall.
Workshop 1: Tools for Resilience and Team Success – Sept. 16, 10 a.m.-noon or 1-3 p.m.
In this session, through engaging activities, participants will practice skills to navigate personal and professional stressors through managing your own and other stress reactions, and communication strategies to resolve interpersonal conflict and fostering team collaboration.
Workshop 2: Supporting and Sustaining Inclusive Teams – Oct. 8, 10 a.m.-noon or 1-3 p.m.
In this session, through engaging activities, participants will learn about resilience building approaches to help teams adapt in the face of evolving responsibilities and organizational shifts and begin to construct personal action plans to sustain well-being and promote inclusive team environments.
