Welcome to a very exciting chapter in the life story of the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy.

Natalie Eddington

This institution continues to be a cornerstone of pharmacy education in Maryland, leading the way with innovative ideas and programs for practice and research. My alma mater has been the home of my career as an educator and researcher for more than 20 years; it is with a sense of pride that I serve as dean.

This is a transformational time in the history of our school. The implementation of health care reform will bring scores of patients into the health care system, and our students and faculty are vital members of the interdisciplinary team that will care for these new patients. With increasing numbers of patient seeking care for a variety of chronic illnesses, our pharmaceutical scientists, health outcomes researchers, and graduate students endeavor to uncover new and improved treatments and to improve upon how medications are used in real-world settings. As a comprehensive school of pharmacy, the University of Maryland is leading education, scientific discovery, patient care, and community engagement in the state of Maryland and beyond.

We invite you to join us on our exciting journey.

In the spirit of expertise, influence, and impact,

Natalie D. Eddington, PhD, FAAPS, FCP
