Thermo Q-Exactive HF Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer

The Thermo Q-Exactive HF (QE) Quadrupole-Obitrap mass spectrometer is used to identify, quantify, and confirm a variety of large biomolecules, including proteins, peptides, glycans, lipids, metabolites, and drug compounds.‌

This mass spectrometer is equipped with:

• ESI and HESI probes
• High-resolution, accurate-mass (HR/AM)
• Tandem mass spectrometry: CID and HCD dissociation techniques
• Waters NanoLC system

Experiments using this instrument are for characterization of protein post-translational modifications, targeted structure determination, small molecule and macromolecule molecular weight determination, and metabolite identification/quantification. This HR/AM platform is amenable to untargeted and targeted proteomics, lipidomics, metabolomics, drug discovery, and pharmacokinetic analysis.
