Established more than 90 years ago, the congregation at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church boasts several hundred members and has been a long-time partner and recruitment site for Dr. Mullins’ PCORI-funded research. Its vision is to be the Christian staple of the greater Mondawmin and Baltimore City area by hosting ministries that matter, changing lives for the better, and giving hope and providing opportunities for people to have a life abundant in quantity and superior in quality.

Westat is a leader in designing and administering surveys and providing consulting services and research to meet client requirements. Founded in 1963, Westat has effectively conducted research studies in a wide range of subject areas including health, education, social services, transportation, housing, energy, the environment, human services, military human resources, and science and technology.

Drawing on its evaluation expertise and experience in patient-centered research, health IT, and community health, Westat supports PATIENTS by guiding the process for collecting, analyzing, and disseminating actionable information, tools, and resources that are useful to researchers and partners.

Clinicians

Official Association of Black Cardiologists (ABC) Logo Association of Black Cardiologists (ABC)

Established in 1974, ABC is a nonprofit organization with an international membership of 2,500 health professionals, community health advocates, and corporate and institutional associates. The organization is dedicated to eliminating disparities related to cardiovascular disease in all people of color. It is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to champion the elimination of cardiovascular disparities through education, research and advocacy, and a philosophy of good health.

With a tradition dating back to 1914, it is our honor to prepare students for careers as expert clinicians, innovators, scientists, and leaders. The Indiana University School of Nursing offers four degrees in undergraduate and graduate studies that include three options in the bachelor's degree; nine options in the master's degree; a PhD and a DNP (doctor of nursing practice). Many of the programs offer distance accessible options - which means students can study where they are with limited or no need to come to campus, depending on the program. All students will have experiential learning opportunities with clinical partners throughout Central Indiana. The school is fortunate to have more than 200 partners that work with us in each of our programs.

The University of Maryland Medical Center is an 800-bed teaching hospital in Baltimore and the flagship institution of the 12-hospital University of Maryland Medical System. As a national and regional referral center for trauma, cancer care, neurocare, cardiac care, women's and children's health and physical rehabilitation, UMMC treats patients who are referred nationally and regionally for expertise in time-sensitive critical care medicine. UMMC also has one of the largest solid organ transplant programs in the country, performing more than 400 abdominal and thoracic transplants a year. All physicians on staff at the Medical Center are faculty physicians of the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
