About the Lectureship
The John W. Holaday, PhD, Endowed Memorial Lectureship in Medical Cannabis was established with a gift from Curio Wellness – a medical cannabis brand and trusted health care partner based in Maryland. The lectureship honors the memory of John Holaday, PhD, a highly accomplished pharmaceutical executive, entrepreneur, and medical scholar who also served as chairman emeritus of Curio Wellness’s Scientific Advisory Board.

Bonni Goldstein, MD, is medical director of Canna-Centers Wellness & Education, a leading cannabis medicine specialty practice in Los Angeles, Calif. She completed her internship and residency at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where she also served as chief resident. After years of practicing in the field of pediatric emergency medicine, she became interested in the science of medical cannabis following the profound improvements she witnessed in a seriously ill friend. Over the past 18 years, Goldstein has evaluated thousands of patients for medical cannabis treatment. She has a special focus on treating children with intractable epilepsy, severe autism, cancer, and other refractory conditions. Goldstein has co-authored numerous papers on the use of pharmacometabolomics to study the impact of medical cannabis on the behavioral symptoms associated with autism. She is the author of the book Cannabis is Medicine: How Medical Cannabis and CBD are Healing Everything from Anxiety to Chronic Pain. She serves as a medical advisor to Cannformatics, Weedmaps, and numerous biopharmaceutical companies.
