The Academy of Preceptors Dinner and Continuing Education (CE) Program is an annual live seminar designed for all School of Pharmacy preceptors. The program will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 5:30 to 8:15 p.m. There is no cost to attend this activity for preceptors from the School of Pharmacy.

Course Objectives:

This year's program is entitled "Blank Space: Filling the Gaps in Student Rotation Engagement and Professional Identity Formation" (UAN #: 0025-0000-24-038-L99-P; Contact Hours: 1.5). At the conclusion of this activity, preceptors should be able to:

  • Recognize the significance of student engagement during pharmacy rotations and its impact on learning and professional development
  • Identify at least three key factors influencing student engagement on rotation
  • Describe current challenges in maintaining student engagement on rotation and identify at least one new innovative strategy to address them
  • Define professional identify formation (PIF) and list two methods of fostering student PIF during experiential rotation
Accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education The University of Maryland School of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Successful completion of this activity requires participants' signature on a signature sheet, participation in the entire activity, and completion of an online activity evaluation survey. Statements of credit will be posted to participants' CPE Monitor profile within three weeks of successful completion of this activity.
