The Office of Continuing Education offers a wide range of services related to the delivery of continuing education activities for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other health care professionals across the state of Maryland and beyond.
The University of Maryland School of Pharmacy’s Office of Continuing Education is an ACPE-accredited provider. The Office of Continuing Education works with organizations seeking ACPE credit for educational or training activities for pharmacists, technicians, and other health care providers. Each educational activity approved by the Office undergoes a thorough review process to ensure its academic integrity. Activities can be delivered online, through traditional face-to-face formats, or in hybrid formats. Included within the provider services is the development of online activity evaluations and processing of continuing education credits to the CPE Monitor. The office also works with Joint Providers to ensure adherence to the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education’s (ACPE) standards, from conducting learner needs assessments to delivering educational content and assessing learner and programmatic outcomes.
The Office of Continuing Education offers innovative online training programs to help you learn how to apply evidence, and build new knowledge and skills, while acquiring workplace-relevant tools. Each self-paced training program includes module content, resources, and interactive learning activities. Training materials are available immediately at the completion of the registration process (unless otherwise indicated). Organizations are encouraged to contact the Office of Continuing Education to explore continuing education opportunities for their pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. The Office will connect the organization with faculty experts from the School of Pharmacy as well as CE Office staff to develop customized enduring programming.
The Office of Continuing Education is a licensed provider of the American Pharmacists Association’s (APhA) certificate programs in Immunization Delivery, Medication Therapy Management, and Diabetes Care. If you are interested in holding a private training session, the office can arrange for delivery of these training programs at your organization’s site.
